Michele Coker

Michele has been a practicing professional accountant since 1997 and has worked in both corporate accounting and public practice accounting roles during this period. She joined Core Professionals in 2005 as Senior Accountant and Accounting Partner.

She has extensive experience in:
the preparation and review of company, trust, SMSF, partnership and individual taxation returns;
business structural advice;
not-for-profit sector audits;
SMSF establishment and administration;
taxation planning.

Michele maintains a strong technical expertise in contemporary accounting and taxation issues. Michele has been a member of CPA Australia since 1997. She is a CPA Public Practice holder who upholds the stringent professional standards that the organisation demands.

Brett Ruff

Accountant and Tax Consultant

Brett Ruff is an Accountant with Core professionals specialising in taxation and small business support.

Brett has a Bachelor of Business Degree (Accounting) from CQUniversity and has previously been a financial advisor. Brett began doing tax returns with Core Professionals in 2001 combining taxation and financial advice for his clients. In 2015 Brett took some time off but returned to Core Professionals in 2020.

Brett has experience dealing with a wide range of taxation issues along with small business advice and SMSF compliance.

Brett is an avid cyclist and amateur photographer and is also heavily involved with his local AFL club.

Fiona Rowe

Administration Assistant

Fiona joined Core Professionals in 2021. She was born and bred in the Rockhampton area and has more than 30 years experience in a variety of business and school administration roles. To complement her on-the-job experience, she attained a Certificate IV in Business Administration giving her a sound knowledge of office procedures and advanced Microsoft Office skills. Fiona enjoys welcoming clients and working effectively with the accounting team to manage their individual and business accountancy needs.

Emily Buckholz

Administration Assistant

Emily joined Core Professionals in July 2021. Emily previously worked in the mining industry and studied accounting on her days off. Now she enjoys being able to incorporate her studies within the working environment. She looks forward to welcoming all our clients and working effectively with the accounting team to assist with all personal and business accountancy matters as they arise.
